Cadets attend class daily (Monday-Friday) for the fifteen weeks that they are at WLGOS. They also may participate in the JROTC Drill Teams and Color Guard.

Brigadier General Bryan T. Roberts honored us with a visit to Wil Lou Gray today. Cadets and staff gathered in the auditorium and gave him a warm welcome.
In his talk, General Roberts shared some of his life and dreams that he had as a young man. He emphasized the power of the Golden Rule and how that can impact a person's life. He encouraged cadets to do the right thing. He gave the example of calling a name and then stated good things about that name, that person. This was to give example that we all want people to respond to our name with positive comments. We should want people to speak well of our character and to look upon us as good people.
He also encouraged cadets to do the right thing especially when no one is watching. That says much about our character. We know right from wrong, so do that, do the right thing. Be safe and be wise in our actions.Govern ourselves and our behavior. Be positive, be disciplined, be a good person of strong character
General Roberts enjoyed a delicious "chow" with us and then returned to his duties at Fort Jackson.
The General stated at the end of his talk that this is his first visit to a JROTC program and he is impressed by the cadets of Wil Lou Gray, our JROTC and our campus.
We are proud of our cadets, our JROTC program, and our campus!
